As Season 4 of Riverdale begins, Choni will be going strong though Madelaine Petsch previews Cheryl’s Jason-size secret could complicate things.

After narrowly evading The Farm and coming to the rescue of their friends, the kids of Riverdale will attempt to pick up the pieces and return to some sense of normalcy as Season 4 begin including Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch).

"“Cheryl is really hyper focused on joining Highsmith College — and that her girlfriend is hopefully with her – and making the most out of senior year. She’s throwing parties. She’s looking forward to prom and Halloween. I think she’s just focusing on being a teenager,” Riverdale’s resident scene stealer Madelaine Petsch previewed of the where Cheryl’s focus as the new season begins."

Speaking of Cheryl’s better half, the future looks brighter than ever for Choni who have endured quite the journey thus far in their relationship.

"“We will be seeing a lot of Choni this season which makes me very happy,” Petsch assured members of the media of Choni’s relationship status at the top of the season.  “They’re in a good place so far. They’re happy, they’re positive and things are going well.”"

Although Choni will begin Season 4 in a good place, Petsch was quick to admit the fact that  Jason’s decomposing body being hidden away in their basement could prove to a major obstacle in their way this season.

"“Obviously Cheryl is keeping a body-size secret in their basement,” Petsch reminded us before once again reiterating her love of the duo and optimism for their future. “I believe they’re endgame, but I have no idea [what the writers might have planned.]”"

Outside the continued evolution and growth of Cheryl and Toni’s relationship, fans can also look forward to Cheryl interacting with the show’s “Core 4” heavily as the show shifts its focus back on high school life. In addition to being a supportive friend to Archie in his time of need, Cheryl will also be embarking on a new business venture with Veronica!

"“Cheryl and Veronica are going to be teaming up this season for a business venture. I think it would be beautiful to see Betty step forward and help Cheryl with her mental health, but Betty also has a lot of issues on her own,” Petsch previewed of Cheryl’s relationships with the rest of the core cast. “Archie will be a big part of Cheryl’s first two episodes as we deal with Archie’s dad passing. Cheryl knows that very well. She loves Archie so much and wants to be there as much as she can.”"
