Bob’s Burgers: 5 shows to binge if you’re missing the Belchers

With Bob’s Burgers still on hiatus, you have time to binge a show or two. Here are a few options if you’re looking for a substitute until it returns.

Bob’s Burgers is one of the best-animated shows currently airing on TV. Sadly, the show has been on hiatus since May. Thankfully, Hulu has all of the episodes available for us to watch but sometimes, it can get a bit tedious. Even though Bob’s Burgers is an awesome show, there are a lot of other shows that are comparable to it.

Whether they be animated or live-action, Bob’s Burgers has a certain charm about it. The show features a family who is just trying to make it. With Bob and Linda at the helm, the two try but things fall through the cracks. Coupled with raising Gene, Louise, and Tina, the Belchers could be described as dysfunctional at best. At the end of the day, they still love each other and that’s what matters.

The show doesn’t just feature themes of family, though. Bob’s Burgers manages to be funny without being crude or making jokes for the sake of it. Season 1 features some dark humor but since then, the series has evolved. The humor isn’t as dark but rather gets laughs from its characters and its plotlines. Another major theme of Bob’s Burgers is being true to yourself. The biggest example of this is Tina as she’s unabashedly herself. She loves boys, butts, and zombies and isn’t afraid to let everyone know about it.

Comparing Bob’s Burgers to other show isn’t easy because it’s rare.
