Arrow

Arrow begins as the origin story of DC’s Green Arrow. Throughout the series, it follows billionaire playboy Oliver Queen on a journey of self-discovery and redemption.

From the beginning, Arrow utilized flashbacks to parallel current plotlines and to add depth to the characters. Similar to Manifest, Arrow’s narrative time jumps always provide valuable insights. Manifest fans who enjoy the character development derived from flashbacks may also like Arrow.

While Manifest is saturated with mystic energy, Arrow dishes out supernatural elements sparingly. However, Arrow does feature its fair share of super sleuthing, shocking reveals, and wicked cliffhangers that Manifest fans may enjoy.

The first seven seasons of Arrow are available on Netflix. The eighth and final season premieres Oct. 15 at 9:00 on The CW.

The Affair

The plotline of The Affair is dotted with danger and steeped in scandal. This is the only show on the list that lacks a supernatural component. However, the writers double down on the mystery and intrigue.

While there is no actual time travel involved, The Affair is a show that jumps around to different points in the storyline. Each season of The Affair is about uncovering the truth of a past tragedy. But what happens when people remember events differently?

Every episode is split into two parts told from opposite perspectives. Viewers typically witness the same situations as remembered by different characters. Ultimately, it’s up to the audience to determine what they believe is true, regardless of how each character perceives things.

The Affair will appeal to fans who love piecing together character-driven puzzles. And for Manifest romantics who relish the show’s love triangles (and squares), The Affair turns up the heat with spouses, friends, lovers, exes, strangers, and even enemies canoodling on screen!

The first four seasons of The Affair are streaming now on Showtime On Demand, the Showtime Amazon Channel, and the Showtime Hulu add-on. The fifth and final season is currently airing on Showtime.
