What can we expect from Dynasty Season 3? Here’s your cheat sheet on the cliffhangers, casting changes and key details you need to know.

You never know what to anticipate with a show like Dynasty. Things can change on dime on the show and behind the scenes. Keeping up with the plot twists both on and off screen can get a little complicated, and you don’t want to forget a single piece of information before Season 3.

If you’re in need of a quick and dirty refresher on what went down in Dynasty’s second season, including the jaw-dropping season finale, we’ve rounded up all of the key details fans should brush up on ahead of the new season this fall. Between the cliffhangers and casting changes sure to shake the manor, there’s a lot to cover in our spoiler-filled Season 3 study guide!

1. There’s another new Cristal.

In case you missed it, Ana Brenda Contreras will be leaving her post as Cristal Jennings (soon-to-be Carrington) and recast with Daniella Alonso. This marks the second recasting for the role of Cristal on Dynasty, after Nathalie Kelley departed after the Season 1 finale. So, don’t be shocked when Cristal doesn’t look the same in the Season 3 premiere.

2. Two dead bodies rocked the manor.

After Fallon interrupts Blake and Cristal’s quickie backyard wedding, the divers Adam hired to find Fallon’s ring in the lake dig up not one but two dead bodies. One belongs to the man Blake and Cristal murdered out of revenge, and the other belongs to Fallon’s teenage friend Trixie who fell from the manor’s banister years in the past. The Carringtons have some explaining to do…

3. Alexis’ potential recasting still looms.

Nicollette Sheridan’s abrupt exit from her role as Alexis Carrington allowed Elizabeth Gillies to flex her enviable acting chops even more. But Gillies stepping into Alexis’ messy shoes was a temporary solution to a bigger recasting emergency. Who knows when Alexis will return from her trip to Europe and who she might look like? We still have some suggestions…

4. Kirby owns Fallon’s business, and Sammy Jo owns a hotel.

In order to clean up the business disaster caused by Blake, Fallon sells Femperial to Kirby for one dollar, expecting her partner to sell back the business. However, Kirby pulls one over on Fallon out of spite and keeps Femperial to herself, leaving Fallon without a dynasty. Oh, and Sammy Jo’s divorce settlement gave him the capital to purchase a hotel that he now runs with Anders, who effectively defected from the Carrington manor.

5. Steven might be back.

Considering that Steven unknowingly played a minor role in the Season 2 finale’s cliffhanger by feeding Adam the story of Fallon’s role in Trixie’s death (as well as his father’s disposal of the body), there’s a chance James Mackay could return as Steven. Whether it’s in present day or in flashbacks remains to be seen, but when it comes to Dynasty, you never know who might return.

6. The Colbys started a war.

In the Season 2 finale, Jeff hops on a plan after faking his death and plotting to frame Adam for his murder. Unfortunately, his mother, Blake’s half-sister Dominique, retrieves the key piece of evidence connected to Adam that Jeff planted at the crime scene. Dominique wants Blake’s money, and she wouldn’t get it otherwise. The Colbys’ fight with the Carringtons might end up a fight with themselves.

7. Liam has a big headache.

And finally, lest you forget, Adam hit Liam over the head with a ceramic pot and locked him in an outdoor closet. When Liam comes to, he’s banged up pretty bad and falls into the pool, where he’s left for dead. But Liam should walk away with nothing more than a headache and some memory loss. What’s another fork in the road for Falliam?
