2. Ava stands up to Katrina at the second initiation round.
The idea Katrina drums up for the second initiation round is particularly heinous. She forces remaining lion cubs Ava, Tiffany, and Julie to line up and strip. Meanwhile, Katrina livestreams the entire thing online and allows people to vote for the hottest girl.
Julie bears the brunt of the harassment due to her, supposedly, being fat (in reality, she’s far from it). Ava finally can’t take it anymore and decides to quit the team in solidarity with Julie. She even smacks the camera out of Katrina’s hands, humiliating her on the livestream.
Initially, Katrina is glad to have Ava out of her hair, but quickly finds the school buzzing about Ava standing up to her.
1. Ava, Patrick, and Allyson work together to bring on Katrina’s downfall.
As if leaving the team weren’t bad enough, Katrina can’t stand the fact Ava embarrassed her. To get revenge, she plants oxycodone in Ava’s locker and calls the police. Ava then makes it her mission to reveal Katrina’s true nature to the teachers, police, parents, and student body once and for all.
She teams up with her newly-forgiven boyfriend, Patrick, and Allyson (who we learn was the girl from the opening scene). Together they come up with a plan to film Katrina being the evil spawn she is and livestream it to everyone.
Tiffany is in the process of her third initiation round, which involves walking on a building ledge, blindfolded. It’s risky, even by Lioness standards. Notably, Katrina’s lackeys are uneasy at how far she’s taking things.
Ava steps in for Tiffany, pretending she wants a second chance. Unbeknownst to Rita, Shay, and Katrina, Patrick is secretly filming everything, including Katrina’s many confessions.
The movie ends with Ms. Sinclair getting fired (finally) and a walk of shame for Katrina. She’s lead out of the school in handcuffs, and Ava wins Cheerleader of the Year!
