2. The real Caitlyn is a goner.

I think we all knew Caitlyn (Shelby Armstrong) wasn’t going to last long once Vicky chose her as the perfect target. Poor Caitlyn. All she wanted was to go to her minimum wage job at the Lifetime-Walmart-equivalent and try to make another go at high school. The main difference between Caitlyn and Vicky is Caitlyn is the right age.

Unfortunately, once Caitlyn decides to get her life on track and attend Glendale, Vicky realizes she’s a threat. She tricks Caitlyn into getting in a car with her and…RIP Caitlyn. Don’t you know not to get in strange cars with cheerleaders by now? Kill Count: 2

1. Heather dodges a brush with death.

Since the beginning, Heather was marked for a showdown with Vicky. Heather is first to catch on to Vicky’s ruse, and she’s her biggest rival for Liam’s affections. Eventually, Heather pieces everything together due to an old picture she finds of Vicky standing in front of a restaurant that closed down 10 years ago looking decidedly older than eight. Vicky loses her mind when Heather threatens her in the locker room and locks her in a storage room.

Heather’s lucky she didn’t wind up dead like Darren or Caitlyn! Ultimately, Heather is the one that tips off Vicky’s mom, who then calls the cops. Vicky’s dream shatters on the basketball court when the police come in to escort her out. Our final shot is of Vicky in a cell, banging her head on the wall – mirroring the beginning. Hm, I smell a sequel!

That leaves our official kill count at only two deaths, a pretty low number for a Lifetime movie!

Odds & Ends

  • All of the moments where Vicky attempted to learn new slang was the perfect amount of cringe. “Me-me.,” is a stand out as is Liam’s rebuttal, delivered with deadly seriousness. “You say that like my parents. It’s meme.”

The next movie in Lifetime’s Cheer, Rally, Kill line-up is The Wrong Cheerleader. It premieres tomorrow night at 8:00 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
