The season finale of Big Brother 21 aired last night on CBS. During the show, the winner of America’s Favorite Player and $25,000.
On Wednesday night’s season finale of Big Brother 21, not only was the winner of Big Brother 21 announced, but so was the winner of the America’s Favorite Player award. Since last week, fans had been voting to give one houseguest a $25,000 cash prize simply for being popular. In what may be a record for highest number of votes, the winner of this year’s America’s Favorite Player prize garnered over 1,000,000 votes to win the award.
The winner of America’s Favorite Player is….
Before we can tell you who the top 3 in the running for America’s Favorite Player were. The top 3 for America’s Favorite Player were Cliff Hogg III, Nicole Anthony, and Tommy Bracco.
The winner of the America’s Favorite Player Award was Nicole. When she won the award, Nicole was in shock but very happy. Everyone seemed genuinely happy for Nicole but nobody more so than Ovi Kabir, Jackson Michie, Holly Allen, and Cliff Hogg III.
This comes as no surprise. If Big Brother fans looked on social media this summer, they would have seen that almost nobody had a bad thing to say about Nicole. It was refreshing to see someone so authentically themselves and so entertaining at the same time. Her growth as a person was also compelling.
Now, Nicole joins an elite group of past winners of this award. Past winners include Jeff Schroeder (twice), Janelle Pierzina, and Tyler Crispen. In a bit of a surprise, it turns out this is the first time a woman has won the America’s Favorite Player Award since Elissa Slater in Big Brother 15. In fact, she is only the 5th woman to win the award. America’s Favorite Player has been around since Big Brother 7: All-Stars.
Congratulations to Nicole on winning America’s Favorite Player!
