10. The Covenant (2006)

Original Release Date: September 8, 2006

Box Office Earnings: Opening on an early weekend in September, The Covenant did okay at the box office. It had a $20 million budget and earned a total of $37.3 million.

Critical Acclaim: Critics loathed the film. To be fair, it isn’t a good movie and its 4% approval score on Rotten Tomatoes is deserved. That said, it has developed something of a mild cult following over the years due to its heavy homoerotic subtext and it’s astonishingly attractive cast.

About the Role: Sebastian gets to play a nefarious antagonist named Chase Collins. He’s a warlock who hopes to steal Caleb’s powers and take them for himself. Early in Sebastian’s career, he often played the most antagonistic roles. They were generally charming, seductive, and definitely your average “bad boy.”

Simply the Best: Even though The Covenant is not a “good” movie by any stretch of the imagination, it is still incredibly fun to watch. I, myself, watch it every once in a while because sometimes you just want to stare at a bunch of hot people pretending to have witch powers.

Also, the backstory of the movie is pretty interesting, to be fair. Sebastian is having tons of fun during his performance and he’s well aware of how the movie is perceived these days as he briefly mentioned it in an interview on Watch What Happens Live.
