5. “Sheesh! Cab, Bob?”

Starting off the list is an episode from season 1 and that’s “Sheesh! Cab, Bob?” Serving as the 6th episode of the series, it’s the first time that we truly learn more about Tina as a character and that Bob and Tina’s relationship is explored more. Of course, season 1 is the best place to start as that’s where the show started to lay the groundwork for what we know now.

The episode is all about Tina having a 13th birthday party which Bob is paying for by driving a cab at night and then working at the restaurant during the day. Everything is going alright until his rival, Jimmy Pesto demands that Bob shave his mustache so his son can attend Tina’s party. At first, Bob refuses to do it until he realizes how important his attendance is to Tina but still manages to get a rise out of Jimmy Pesto so it’s a win-win for both of them.

Looking back at this episode, it’s clear why Bob would resist at first but eventually change his mind when he realizes how much Tina is affected. It’s a sweet gesture and one that not all fathers would go through.

While it’s the earliest episode on this list, “Sheesh! Cab, Bob?” gave us an idea of what future moments between Bob and Tina would be like.
