Bob’s Burgers: 6 memorable episodes not set in the restaurant
4. “Adventures in Chinchilla-sitting” (Season 5)
Next up on the list is a season 5 episode and don’t let the clip fool you. Even though a scene in the episode takes place in the restaurant, a majority of the episode doesn’t. Rather, this episode features multiple different settings throughout. In coming up with this list, “Adventures in Chincilla-sitting” was one of the first that popped into my head.
The title alone should give you a clue on what the episode’s about. If you don’t know, it’s a parody of Adventures in Babysitting but with a twist. When Louise takes the class chinchilla home for the weekend, another classmate won’t give up and it leads them on a wild-goose chase to find the chinchilla after he escapes. This episode goes a lot of places including the apartment, a house party and the local roller rink.
While setting plays a huge part in the story, this episode is more about Louise’s character development. It’s nice to see her being a little bit more mature and realizing that it’s not all about what she wants. Rather, it feels nice to make others happy sometimes.
It’s a pretty solid parody of the original source material, too so if you like Adventures In Babysitting, you’ll probably like this episode. As far as settings go, this one couldn’t be further removed from the restaurant.
