3. “Flu-ouise” (Season 7)

Moving ahead again, the next episode on the list comes from season 7. It was actually the season premiere and what a premiere it was. “Flu-ouise” is another episode that couldn’t be set further away from the restaurant. If anything, this episode is so far removed from the restaurant that it’s basically in another dimension and it just might be.

This episode follows Louise as she’s dealing with an illness and the fever dream she has in. With Kuchi Kopi as her partner-in-crime, the two try to deal with the “nuisances” who resemble her family and get to the fortress of solitude.

Similar to the previous episode on the list, this is a parody of Wizard of Oz because of the setting. Additionally, the episode has some musical moments which is the key to a solid Bob’s Burgers episode.

Once again, this episode is another milestone for Louise as she acts a bit more maturely and realizes that it’s better to forgive than hold a grudge. “Flu-ouise” has one of the lushest and vivid settings ever as Louise’s dream is both impressive yet terrifying at points. While most of us might know it for the plot and Louise’s character development, the usual setting definitely deserves a nod.
