Bob’s Burgers: 6 memorable episodes not set in the restaurant
2. “Go Tina on the Mountain” (Season 8)
The next-to-last episode is a season 8 episode. While season 9 had some great non-restaurant episodes, none of them were that memorable but there will be a few honorable mentions. The episode that ended up making the list was “Go Tina on the Mountain,” from season 8 and is surprisingly the first Tina episode to make the list.
This episode features Tina, Gene and Louise as they go on a camping trip with school and it’s basically Tina trying to prove that she can climb a mountain and overcome her bullies. She realizes that it doesn’t matter what people call it, it’s about her own self-worth. Even though the hermit lied to her, she’s able to get help from others and climb the mountain. As far as Tina episodes go, it’s one of the better ones.
Additionally, the setting of the episode is one in nature. It follows the Belcher siblings out in the wilderness with their friends and teachers. We rarely see the Belchers doing anything outside of the restaurant so it’s nice to see those three working together in the woods. We’ve seen the Belchers tackle the woods together before, but “Go Tina on the Mountain” is a bit more memorable than “A River Runs Through Bob.”
Before getting to the latest episode, I wanted to feature a few honorable mentions. Of course, there is “A River Runs Through Bob.” Some other memorable non-restaurant episodes are “Mutiny on the Windbreaker,” “Housetrap,” and “The Fresh Princ-ipal.”
