It feels like the last few episodes of Chicago Fire have been leading up to Severide making a big decision about his future at the Chicago Fire Department. That seems to be coming to a head tonight. Don’t miss out on the decision Severide will make during Chicago Fire Season 8, Episode 7.
Titled “Welcome to Crazytown,” there’s plenty going on this week. The biggest story outside of the calls seems to be Severide’s decision about his future. It’s not clear why he’ll need to make a decision, but it could be the times that he’s proven himself as an excellent arson investigator. It’s something people have suggested to him in the past, but he’s focused on Squad. Could that change?

Meanwhile, Herrmann is going to run into a spot of bother. His temper is going to get the better of him. In a way, that’s not all that surprising. He regularly gets in some sort of trouble because of his short fuse. Sometimes, he just can’t step away from the situation before acting.

Then there’s Cruz, who gets to show off Slamigan at the Firefighting Expo. I adore that Chicago Fire has kept the continuity with this throughout the last few seasons. Is this a device that will start making its rounds throughout firehouses?
I will admit that I’m intrigued by the last part of the Chicago Fire Season 8, Episode 7 synopsis. Commissioner Grissom is going to return. I love Gary Cole, but what trouble will this mean for Firehouse 51 and does this link to Severide’s future? Maybe it links back to Stella, who proved herself leadership material a few episodes back.
