5. Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century
When Disney Plus announced the DCOM movies would be featured on the streaming service, I was overjoyed with excitement. Growing up, the movies I enjoyed the most was on Disney Channel and it is no surprise what made the list first. Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century became my favorite movie to watch on Friday nights and it is totally a movie worth more praise than it receives.

What is the movie about: If you have never seen Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century, the movie follows the life of a teenager girl named Zenon Kar living in space in the year 2049. Zenon goes to Planet Earth after being grounded for pushing luck one too many times on the ship. After learning how an evil man is trying to take over the space station, Zenon discovers a way to save her family with the help of her friends.
Why should you stream it : Zenon was extremely popular when it debuted on the Disney Channel in 1999. One of the many reasons, I love this movie is for Raven Symone character Nebula Wade. Nebula Wade was a friend to Zenon but she always gave the best advice to Zenon and listened to her friend. Each time she appeared on the screen, it was such a joy to see. Eventually, Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century launched two more movies for the franchise.
This movie is perfect for young girls learning to stand in what you believe in and a movie that deserves more acknowledgement. Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century was one of the Disney Channel movies I look forward to watch on a Friday night with my friends. If you need a good movie to watch with your friends, then Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century is definitely the movie that should be overlooked.
