It’s the big event of the season. The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is always a great way to kick start your Thanksgiving. Along with the parade, there are also many big performances to watch. Now you just need to know when and how you can watch it.
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has come a long way since the first one when a bunch of Macy’s employees dressed up. The last one of this decade is shaping up to be one of the strongest, with performances by the Black Eyed Peas and Celine Dion. Frozen‘s Idina Menzel will also be there, along with Jimmy Fallon and some of the characters from Sesame Street.

Of course, the parade would be nothing without Santa turning up. This is the part you know the kids love the most.

However, sadly, the 16 giant balloon characters may not be able to take off this year, in case they actually do take off! There’s a threat of excessive winds, so officials are going to make a call on the day. There will be 40 novelty balloons and 26 floats in the parade along with 1,200 cheerleaders and dancers and 1,000 clowns (the bit I hate the most).
The parade kicks off at 9 a.m. and is expected to take place until 11 a.m. ET. You can watch it live on NBC or via the NBC App. Are you ready to join in the fun?
