In Stripped, Casper Van Dien takes the lead as Chris Cameron, a network TV titan who falls from grace after a bad career move. But as he tries to reclaim his place in the world, he finds the road to redemption isn’t what he anticipated.

Originally developed before the late Kristoff St. John’s passing, Stripped was created by him and Director Marc Clebanoff. The pilot is a comedy-drama that stars Casper Van Dien, Brooke Lewis Bellas, Frank Krueger, and S.E. Perry. The supporting cast includes Dat Phan, Louis Mandylor, Dominique Swain, Jennifer Wenger, and Larry Hankin.

As far as the plot goes, Stripped centers around Chris Cameron coming off a two-year prison sentence. The disgraced TV titan vouched for the wrong friend and wound up suffering the consequences in the end. But to redeem some of his lost glory, he makes a drastic career move upon being released.

The move in question isn’t as outrageous as one would think, Chris Cameron merely begins moonlighting as a stripper in an exclusive Los Angeles club. This career change comes as pressures from Cameron’s publicist Jules (Brooke Lewis Bellas) and agent Neil (Frank Krueger) force him into this unconventional profession. The question is: Will Cameron find the redemption he’s been seeking?

In terms of further details, Odyssey Motion Pictures has yet to announce much about their upcoming TV pilot. Stripped only recently went into production so there’s no way to say how the show will progress…or whether or not it’ll be picked up for syndication.

Pilots like this can go either way, but considering the redemption-like story that we all like to see play out is presumably what Chris Cameron’s journey will be, things look good for the series’ future.

Another aspect that’s yet to be determined is what network or channel could pick it up. The subject matter of Stripped sounds a bit risqué for network television, but cable TV may work. Perhaps a station like TNT or FX will want to acquire the show. Personally, we think the balance between drama and comedy makes it ideal for TNT, but that’s just our suggestion.
