Spend your Christmas Eve with Baby Yoda. We won’t blame you one bit.

Ever since The Mandalorian premiered on Disney Plus, the internet has been in love with exactly one alien: Baby Yoda.

Or, if you want to go by what everyone on the show keeps calling him, he’s “The Child.” (This is nowhere near as cool of a name as Baby Yoda, but we’ll assume the folks in charge of the Star Wars saga have a plan here.)

Regardless, we can’t imagine a better way to spend Christmas Eve than by watching this adorable critter being, well, adorable. Thanks to this fifty-year old “baby,” The Mandalorian has given birth to a seemingly endless stream of memes; even the Star Wars official site itself called him “the face that launched a thousand memes.”

Whether it’s by refusing to listen to the big, bad bounty hunter’s instructions or swallowing a whole frog (only to spit it back out) in front of a group of kids, Baby Yoda is bound to steal your heart. With Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premiering right in the middle of the 2019 Christmas season, there’s no better way to prepare than by watching everyone’s favorite Force baby.

Putting this little guy in The Mandalorian was the perfect way to confuse all of us about the timeline. Maybe we’ll have answers before the tale of a galaxy far, far away as we know it comes to its (hopefully epic) conclusion?

And if your family members’ Christmas wish lists were a little bit shorter than you expected? It’s probably because they’re holding out for some Baby Yoda merchandise. Star Wars merch is going to be some of the hottest stuff on the market come spring.

If you haven’t yet, you may as well stream The Mandalorian (a.k.a., That Baby Yoda Show) now before the toys break the bank in just a few short months.

…And, most likely, for many Christmases to come.
