2. King of the Hill (1997–2009)

King of the Hill is a very popular animated sitcom that ran for a whopping 13 seasons in total. It followed a typical everyday middle-class American family.

Murphy voiced the character, Luanne Platter, on the show and gained quite a few fans who were devoted to the long-running sitcom. She was even nominated for several Annie Awards thanks to her excellent vocal performance.

1. Clueless (1995)

When people think about Brittany Murphy, Clueless is probably one of the first projects of the actress’s to come to mind. Clueless certainly helped launch her career in the same way it did for Paul Rudd and Alicia Silverstone. Murphy played the lovable character Tai Fraser, who was as a tomboy and a skater chick — everything Cher Horowitz was not.

Cher’s main goal for befriending Tai is to give her a total makeover. However, Cher eventually comes to realize that Tai doesn’t need to change, it’s Cher that needs to figure things out instead. Silverstone has spoken fondly of Murphy in the past, saying she always found Brittany to be very warm and that she enjoyed working with her on the film.
