25 Days of Dean-mas Day 23: Jensen Ackles remains our Man Crush Monday
Jensen Ackles remains an important part of the SPN family, and would be even if he wasn’t Dean Winchester. Here’s why he’s our #MCM.
Supernatural wouldn’t be what it is without Jensen Ackles, and that’s not just because he plays Dean Winchester. He’s an important part of the SPN Family as a whole.
For Day 23 of the 25 Days of Dean-mas, we’re taking a look at why Jensen Ackles will always remain our #ManCrushMonday. Yes, this is something we’ve looked at before, but there are some current reasons that weren’t touched on in the past. Here are our five reasons to love Ackles so much.
5. His support of Jared Padalecki
We know Jensen Ackles loves his show family. Jared Padalecki has been a brother to Jensen, and that continues to show. Throughout Padalecki’s ups and downs, Jensen has always been there. He’s remained a close supporter.
In fact, when Padalecki was recently arrested, Jensen was quick to take on the next convention alone. He knew that his brother needed to spend time with family, whether for legal or mental support reasons. Jensen kept the topic of conversation away from Jared and allowed Jared the time to explain things (and make light of things) when Jared was ready.

4. His love for his family
We always get a look at the love Jensen has for his family. We get to see him try to be the best dad he can possibly be. However, he has a hell of a lot of love and respect for his wife, who continues to be the glue that holds the entire family together. He knows everything she has given up to be in Texas with the family while Jensen films in Vancouver.
It’s important to him to show that love and support. He needs to let his wife know that he truly loves everything she does and understands the sacrifices she has made. It won’t be long until they’re back together, living in the same town for more months than they’re not!
3. His love for Supernatural
The series is more than just a job for Ackles. It’s become part of his life, and an important part at that. We could see that when he, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins announced that the series was coming to an end.
We could see the tears, and we could hear that lump in his throat as he explained that it was the end (and why). More importantly, he made sure that we found out from him and the rest of the main cast, knowing what the end would mean for everyone. He loves the show and loves the fans dearly.
2. His constant support for those with less than him
When you look at social media, there’s something you’ll always see. In between the jokes or the love for his family, he shares his support for those with less than him. He’s a charitable man, but tries to offer support in a variety of ways.
Sometimes, it’s raising awareness of situations. In other cases, it’s sharing a charity T-shirt campaign. Or he’ll share a request from a fellow Supernatural cast member. Jensen Ackles is never short of love and support.
1. His love of the fans
Head to any Supernatural convention, and you’ll see this. Jensen Ackles loves the fans, knowing that we’re the reason the show has lasted as long as it has. The fans are the reason he’s had a successful job for the last 15 years, and he appreciates every single person.
At the conventions, he’s quick to share his love for gifts shared. He will always remember important moments and share his love for fans he sees time and time again. And he’s also quick to show love for those who have only managed to make their first convention in years of doing cons. He’s a wonderful, generous man, and we couldn’t ask for anything more.
