Lucifer Season 5

Synopsis: The Lord of Hell is back for one final season in Lucifer. For those interested, Lucifer tells the story of Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis), who is the Devil, who abandons hell in favor of life in Los Angeles. Lucifer ends up running a nightclub called “Lux” and working with Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) as a consultant for the LAPD as he stops demonic threats from disrupting Los Angeles. While working together, Lucifer and Chloe end up falling for one another.

At the end of the fourth season, Lucifer and Chloe finally admit their feelings towards each other. However, it comes with a catch as Lucifer, who regained his original Angel Wings, returns to Hell in order to contain the demons. Lucifer returns because of an earlier prophecy that essentially predicted there would be an apocalypse on Earth and he would need to prevent it.

Why you should stream Lucifer Season 5: Lucifer is a great example of a show with sharp dialogue and witty performance from Ellis. Originally canceled after three seasons by Fox in 2018, Lucifer was picked up by Netflix a month later. Lucifer was renewed for a fifth and final season of 16 episodes. The episodes will be split into two parts of eight with the first batch arriving sometime in the first half of 2020.
