Bob’s Burgers: 5 life lessons from Tina including A Fish Called Tina
Lesson #1: Don’t change yourself for other people
Moving ahead to the last episode and lesson is from Season 10’s “A Fish Called Tina.” Since it’s the most recent episode, there will be spoilers as the plot’s going to be discussed and the lesson that we learned from Tina. With that being said, let’s get into what happened in the episode and the lesson we’re learning.
“A Fish Called Tina” follows Tina as she becomes a mentor for a 4th grader named Kaylee. Despite everyone bonding with their “little fish,” Tina ends up acting awkward since she and Kaylee don’t have a connection. The following day, things continue to go downhill with them including Kaylee saying that she doesn’t want Tina as a big fish. Instead, Tina is paired up with Regular-Sized Rudy until Rudy decides he doesn’t want her either. The episode ends with Tina realizing that her true little fishes are Louise and Gene so she shouldn’t worry about Kaylee.
The lesson learned from “A Fish Called Tina” is not to change yourself for other people. Tina tried so hard to impress Kaylee for no reason. All along, she had Gene and Louise there as her little fish that appreciate her for who she is. In the end, it was nice to see Tina getting the recognition she deserves for being a good sister. While Tina dealt with a lot more downs than ups, it was a solid episode for her. Considering how awesome Tina is, she has no reason to want to change herself.
Bob’s Burgers airs Sundays on Fox at 9/8c.
