The episode sees the growing opioid crisis in Chicago, which leads to Severide teaming with Sean Roman. Yes, it’s the same Sean Roman as the one from Chicago PD. He’s back, and this time it’s extremely personal. However, Roman isn’t going to come in with all secrets laid out and it could cause problems throughout the case.
This is the case that blends into PD, which means Roman ends up joining with his old friends at Intelligence. That’s going to cause plenty of problems. That’s not to mention that the drug dealer that is helping the crisis continue ends up murdered!
As for Chicago Fire, there are also some separate storylines. One of those is Brett, who considered meeting with her birth mother. Casey wants to be there for her. Is this finally the start of the relationship many have wanted?
