Bob’s Burgers: 6 memorable episodes set at Wagstaff School
5. “The Frond Files”
Next up on the list is an episode that takes place entirely at Wagstaff. As long as my details are correct, the ending scene is at the Belcher home but other than that, it’s all Wagstaff. This episode, in particular, is a favorite of mine so it was another shoo-in. It’s super underrated so I’ll basically take an opportunity to talk about it and hopefully, get others to appreciate it as I do.
“The Frond Files” is a trilogy episode in which we’re following three separate plotlines that feature the same characters. Technically speaking, the episode has four plotlines. The episode follows Bob and Linda reading their kid’s essays in Mr. Frond’s office since they weren’t displayed to the public.
Each story follows the kids talking about “Why They Love Wagstaff” but inevitably, making Mr. Frond a villain. It’s no surprise as each has their issues with him and doesn’t mind throwing him under the bus.
When looking at Wagstaff in other episodes, we don’t see as much as of it. However, “The Frond Files” takes us all over the school including places we’ve never seen before. The episode might not be remembered for that, but it’s worth noting. What makes the episode special is seeing how each of the kids comes up with a fantasy around Wagstaff. In general though, “The Frond Files” is an underrated episode in the midst of some solid Season 4 outings.
