5. Selena Gomez

It’s no surprise that we’d start with one of Swift’s BFFs and that’s Selena Gomez. Since beginning her career on Barney, Gomez has had a lot of ups and downs. Similar to the Jonas Brothers, she was a part of the Disney machine and has worked to shed that image in recent years. While it’s been successful, she’s also dealt with a lot during her time at Disney and away from Disney. That’s why she would be perfect to have her own documentary on Netflix.

Having a Selena Gomez documentary would be smart as she’s already worked with Netflix as a producer for 13 Reasons Why and Living Undocumented. Both are extremely popular on the streaming service so that’s a good sign.

However, turning the camera on Selena could be something entirely different. Throughout her career, she’s dealt with a lot of things both in her personal and professional life so it would be nice to hear her side of the story.

The documentary could focus on her life as a child star before getting her big break on Disney including a falling out with her ex-best friend, Demi Lovato. No doubt the documentary would touch her eventually making music, leaving Disney and how she deals with Lupus. Of course, I’d be remiss to not mention her relationship with Justin Bieber and now, her eventual comeback to music after five years. The possibilities are endless when it comes to Selena Gomez and what the documentary could cover.
