1. “Yurty Rotten Scoundrels”

Stopping at Season 10, Gayle has only been featured in one episode until now. She was part of a side-plot in “Have Yourself a Maily Linda Christmas.” It was a good episode for Gayle, but the episode focused more on Linda. For this week’s episode though, it’s more about Gayle than Linda. Before getting started, there will be spoilers for “Yurty Rotten Scoundrels” from this point on!

“Yurty Rotten Scoundrels” begins with Gayle bursting in the restaurant, saying that she’s going to have an art retreat today in a yurt. Linda finds out that only one person signed up so she agrees to sign up along with Tina. They meet Gayle’s other attendee, Annie and things start getting wacky when Gayle wants everyone to take their clothes off and paint with blood/spit. Linda finds out that the other attendee Annie writes mean reviews of things. Linda threatens Annie so she’ll delete those pictures and they fight with Linda admitting every reason Gayle shouldn’t host a retreat. Unfortunately for her, Gayle hears everything and slaps Linda until Annie admits that her attitude has changed and Linda apologizing to Gayle.

As per Gayle’s usual shtick, she’s completely weird for the majority of the episode. However, she ends up getting a win which is nice. While Annie seemed bad at first, she eventually helps Gayle gain some confidence. Even with all of the strange moments, “Yurty Rotten Scoundrels” was a solid episode. While it likely won’t be atop anyone’s list of favorite Gayle episodes, it’s certainly memorable.

Bob’s Burgers airs Sundays on Fox at 9/8c.
