Stranger Things: If you have yet not seen Stranger Things, you are missing out! The sci-fi drama is fun when it needs to be, and frightening when it isn’t! The chemistry between the cast is dynamic. Season one focuses on finding a young boy named Will (Noah Schnapp). His disappearance is quickly linked to Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), a mysterious girl who broke out of a secret testing facility where she was being experimented on. The investigation launches a series of secrets and revelations about the world.
Dead to Me: Jen (Christina Applegate) reluctantly attends a grief support group meeting to try to overcome the sudden loss of her husband, Ted. There, she meets Judy (Linda Cardellini), who is also grieving her own loss. The two quickly bond and become close friends, but Judy isn’t who she appears to be.
Orange is the New Black: This is a series you have likely already heard about. It’s one of Netflix’s earliest and most popular hit shows. It follows several women in prison and their stories. You’ll laugh, cry, and feel for these women as the system continues to fail them. In the end, you’ll feel a sense of sisterhood and be more aware of several hard-hitting issues such as mental illness and immigration.
Santa Clarita Diet: Sheila (Drew Barrymore) and Joel Hammond (Timothy Olyphant) work as a real estate agent team in San Clarita, California and are your typical marriage couple. That is, until Sheila becomes infected with a virus that swiftly kills her, but brings her back as a zombie who is hungry for flesh. And not just any meat will cut it! Rest assured, though the comedy does feature some gore, Santa Clarita Diet isn’t a horror series.
