Saturday Night Live: Is SNL new tonight, March 14?

With all the chaos in the world at the moment, can we count on Saturday Night Live to cheer us up tonight, March 14, with an all-new episode?

Planning on having a calm night full of laughs tonight with Saturday Night Live? Well, we hate to break it to you (trust me, we really do), but there is no new SNL episode on NBC tonight! This, however, isn’t because of the coronavirus shutting everything down, but a new episode was never planned for March 14. If you are a fan of SNL, you likely already know that the sketch comedy has a very complicated schedule. There are new episodes for several weeks, then it disappears for one or two weeks before returning.

In this case, Saturday Night Live is gone for two weeks! The fun is scheduled to return on Saturday, March 28. Who will host and perform? Set to take on hosting duties is John Krasinski, with musical guest Dua Lipa! It’ll be an exciting night…if it ever happens.

With the halt of production for many shows and movies, especially those with a live audience, the future of Saturday Night Live is uncertain. If a new episode was scheduled for tonight, it would have more than likely been canceled, so we’re not sure what will happen or how the situation will be in two weeks.

If things appear to be going better by March 28, SNL should go on as planned, though I’m not sure how they would without a live audience since that’s the point of the sketch comedy. We will be sure to keep you posted!

Other hosts and musical guests have not been announced. After Krasinski and Dua Lipa, it’s a mystery who’ll take the stage next. Again, we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we learn more!
