What will Amelia name her baby?

Grey’s Anatomy fans can sleep peacefully knowing that Amelia and Link welcomed their little bundle of joy without major setbacks. Sure, Link wasn’t able to be there for the birth, but it allowed for a beautiful moment between Bailey and Amelia to unfold. (Who else caught the call-back to when George helped Bailey give birth in Season 2?)

One of the coincidental cliffhangers featured in the finale involved the name of Amelia’s baby, or lack thereof. That topic was going to be explored in the remaining episodes of Season 16, according to Krista Vernoff.

The baby’s name will likely have a special meaning after all Amelia’s been through to get to this point. I predicted she would name the baby Derek, but there’s many reasons why she wouldn’t want to do that. Then we have Link, whose full name is Atticus Lincoln. I’m sure the new parents will have fun finding the right name(s) once Season 17 premieres.

Is Jackson headed to Station 19?

This question wasn’t really touched on in the finale, but I do believe it will be explored more in the remainder of Station 19 Season 3 and possibly into Grey’s Season 17. Jackson recently spent time working with Ben Warren inside the mobile OR that is used to save lives quicker while on the scene. He certainly enjoyed the thrill of it all.

Considering Jackson’s primary storyline involves Vic from Station, this would be a fun way to transition him over to the newer show. It would allow for his character to continue to evolve alongside fresh faces, all while continuing his established friendship with Ben.

Station 19 will continue airing for the next month, so I’m excited to see how the spinoff stands on its own without the Grey’s follow-up. After all, Grey’s won’t be around forever.
