Welcome some magic, glitter, and fun tunes into your living room, Trolls World Tour is now available on VOD and this possibly makes it the most important movie of the year. This movie is the first new, major release heading straight to VOD. Instead of pushing the date back, as all other movies have, Trolls 2 is taking a big risk here and becoming available on VOD. Will audiences be willing to pay $20 to rent it?

If you think about it, it’s not a bad price. At all! For you and one child to go to the movies, the total is about $20. If you have more children, or go with your spouse, it’s even more. Potentially, you could be saving big here. Not to mention (and this is the best part), you can watch the movie twice, or more, if you’d like since the film is yours for 48 hours. Also, it’s not like we can go to the movies to watch it with theaters being shut down worldwide.

The latter wouldn’t happen until about a year from now as it typically takes 12 months from a movie’s premiere date for it to go to a streaming service. But once it’s available to stream for free, the place you’ll likely find it is HBO Max.

This is because Trolls World Tour is distributed by Universal Pictures, which partnered up with Warner Bros. to combine Universal Pictures Home Entertainment and Warner Home Video into one.
