On the latest episode of SEAL Team, Lt. Commander Blackburn (Judd Lormund) revealed that someone on Team Bravo had broken protocol to clear the late Ambassador Marsden’s (Khandi Alexander) name.

There was no question that SEAL Team’s Clay Spenser (Max Theiriot) was the most outspoken when Ambassador Marsden was painted in a negative light so it’s no surprise that fans have been putting his name first as the guilty party. But others believe the letter may have come from Clay’s girlfriend, Rebecca, which would have the same affect on Team Bravo as the only way Rebecca could know the details is through a conversation with Clay.

While Ray (Neil Brown, Jr.) is principled and believes in telling the truth, he knows what such a revelation could do to his own career and Team Bravo. And he’s always the member to remind the others about the importance of integrity and protecting the team such as when he was going to own up to throwing the homewrecker that killed Dr. Craig several episodes ago. It wouldn’t make sense to have Ray reveal classified information when he is always so concerned about the team.

With Jason (David Boreanaz) heading the team, it’s unlikely that he would have written the letter, simply because he has kids in school to take care of and his first concern is always the team. While Jason might do some risky things in the field, his career is everything to him. So it’s doubtful that he would sabotage it and the team in such a manner.

Then there’s Sonny (A.J. Buckley) who really isn’t on the radar. While Sonny is willing to lie to protect the team, he’s never given any kind of indication that he would throw the team under the bus to save someone’s reputation. And Sonny has his hands full with his own problems now.

That leaves the other men on the team and/or Ensign Davis (Toni Trucks). This decision is obviously going to be a life-changer for someone, possibly even causing them to leave the team. So it might behoove all fans to pay attention to any notifications of upcoming cast changes.

That might provide the hint in case Seal Team doesn’t get the opportunity to reveal who wrote the letter before the season finale. Since the show was cut short this season, there’s a good chance we’ll have to wait until next season to discover who the culprit is.
