Bob’s Burgers: Ranking the season finales including Season 10
Grade A: “World Wharf II: The Wharfening,” “Glued, Where’s My Bob?” and “Something Old, Something New, Something Bob Caters for You”
Last but not least is the “A-grade” episodes which are the best of the bunch when it comes to season finales. Whether it’s due to a plotline, character development or generally being great, these three episodes are the top-tier.
The three episodes are “World Wharf II: The Wharfening,” “Glued, Where’s my Bob?” and “Something Old, Something New, Something Bob Caters for You.” While the last one could be subjective, it was a quick addition to my list.
First up is Season 4’s “World Wharf II: The Wharfening” which is the second part of the previous episode. This time, we’re treated to the sight of Bob and Mr. Fischoeder almost dying until Bob’s family and Felix both find them. Things start to get intense including the family proclaiming their love for each other.
Thankfully, everything turns out alright in the end and the family is reunited. Considering its two parts and the more intense subject matter, this was an easy pick for an “A” grade.
Next is Season 6’s “Glued, Where’s my Bob?” Do we even have to go over this episode? It’s such an iconic Bob’s Burgers episode. If you haven’t watched, the episode focuses on Bob getting stuck on the toilet, thanks to Louise and everyone working together to try to get him off there before his interview.
Even though things don’t go as planned, they’re still able to show Bob how much they love and appreciate him. Considering Loren Bouchard called it a “quintessential” episode, that’s a high enough endorsement. With a fun plotline, lots of Bob love and an awesome musical number, no way it wasn’t going to be at the top.
Last but not least is Season 8’s “Something Old, Something New, Something Bob Caters for You.” The episode features a couple who fell in love at Bob’s Burgers so they have the family cater their wedding. In true Belcher fashion, everything goes wrong for the couple until Bob and Linda are able to save the day.
While it might not be everyone’s favorite, I think it proves how beloved the restaurant is and how great the Belcher family can be when they work together. It’s incredibly sweet and sentimental so it was an easy choice for me.
Bob’s Burgers will return in Fall 2020 with new episodes.
