During the previous episode, Julia Michaels got to choose a song. Michaels being on the show just offers a hint of what this type of series can do. She’s already a songwriter in her own right, and has written for the likes of Shawn Mendes and Demi Lovato. She wouldn’t need someone else to write her songs but she wants to give upcoming songwriters a chance.

Episode 6 sees Florida Georgia Line take to the panel to choose one out of four song offerings. Like Julia Michaels, Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley don’t exactly need someone to write their songs. Their first album included songs purely written by either one or both members of the group. However, they want to give others a chance to break into this competitive business. They want to support other artists.

Four hopefuls will share their offerings. Of course, the songs need a little fine-tuning. Three of them will get the chance to work with the main panelists, allowing the songwriters a chance to craft a hit song. It will then be up to Florida Georgia Line to make the final choice.
