BLESS THIS MESS – “The Return of Short Shorts” – Mike attempts to fit in with the Coffee Boys in order to get rid of his old nickname, “Short Shorts,” by trying to prove to them that he’s a “true farmer.” Meanwhile, Rio finally gets Constance to open up to her, and she discovers that Constance has a liking for Rudy, on an all-new episode of ABC’s “Bless This Mess,” TUESDAY, APRIL 30 (9:30-10:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. 1. Bless This Mess

While there aren’t many comedies that I connect to, Bless This Mess was always one that stood out. This is one of the canceled TV shows that makes me annoyed. I was late to the game, gave it a chance with the second season, and then had it ripped out from me.

Want to know what really annoys me about the cancellation? That it remained on par in the views with the first season and was canceled. If the first season was good enough and other shows had dropped during its second season, how weren’t the views good enough anymore?

We also ended the show with a cliffhanger. Lake Bell’s Rio revealed that she was pregnant with Dax Shepard’s Mike’s baby. Our awesome couple who have already been through some hilarious and touching highs and lows were growing their family, and now we don’t get to see it.

I know pregnancies are a bit “jump the shark” for some, but in a comedy that starts with a married couple, they make sense. Bless This Mess was all about life and how it was messy. Just imagine the fun the writers could have had with pregnancy and then children.

Sadly, it’s all for the imagination. Or maybe fanfiction?

Either way, we’re not seeing it on TV and this is just the start of canceled TV shows that hurt.
