Counting On fans were concerned about Henry’s eye in a recent Instagram photo

When you’re a celebrity, nothing can really stay private. That’s especially the case when you post pictures on Instagram, Facebook, or other social media. Counting On star Jessa Duggar Seewald had to quickly explain a “kids will be kids” injury to her fans after her husband posted a photo.

The photo was just one of young Henry hugging his baby sister Ivy. However, fans were quick to question the Band-Aid just below his eye. What had happened to the poor mite?

Well, it turns out that it’s definitely nothing series, and we didn’t even think that, did we? Boys will be boys, and kids are forever hurting themselves. Just the other day, we had ice on the nose after one of my daughters tripped over her own feet!

Jessa replied to a fan’s question explaining that the eye injury was nothing serious. Henry and his older brother Spurgeon were playing and accidents happened. It doesn’t even sound like a Band-Aid was needed, but anyone with children will know that Band-Aids are a must, even when there’s not even a cut!

Careful with the baby!

The image did spark some a conversation about Henry’s love for his sister. The hug has been referred to as “more like a chokehold” by some. It’s clear Henry wants to look out for his sister, but he’s still young and he still has to learn about how to hold onto Ivy.

According to more replies, Jessa shares that she and Ben are teaching the boys to be gentle. The two boys are told to hold Ivy under the arms and not around the neck.

However, in everyone’s defense, Ivy is definitely smiling and happy to be in the photo with her big brother. That is a gentle hold and it’s clear that their parents aren’t too far away. There is also a second photo where Henry isn’t hugging his sister but they’re both posing with smiles.

There’s nothing to worry about here, and it’s so cute seeing Henry and Ivy in a photo together. We see a lot of Henry and Spurgeon together, but as Ivy is still so little, she’s not seen as much on Counting On.

All of this is going on in lockdown. We’ve had an episode special of the Duggars in quarantine, but the longer this goes on for, we may end up with more episodes in future seasons of Counting On. In a way, I’d love to see how Jessa Duggar and her siblings are dealing with children in lockdown, because as a parent, it’s not been easy!
