New Netflix movies and shows to watch this weekend: Aug. 14-16

Project Power
Jamie Foxx stars in Project Power, a movie that sees the takeover of a magic pill that grants its consumers a unique power. Not one power seems to be the same. It can either be invisibility, bullet-proof skin, or even super-strength. If you’re thinking about how great it would be to have one of these pills, just wait until you hear the catch.
Yes, there’s definitely a catch! This pill will either unlock a supernatural ability in you or kill you. Are you willing to take the risk?
A New Orleans cop (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) wants to put a stop to the spread of the pill, but he has his work cut out for him as twice as many people (and dangerous people) are wanting to get their hands on this pill, too.
The Great Heist season 1
Netflix seems to have a thing for a good crime-thriller, not that we are complaining! Though I love just about everything the streaming titan has to offer, I have to say crime dramas and documentaries are my favorites!
The Great Heist is even more exciting because it is inspired by true events. The crime-drama is based on “El Robo del Siglo,” which translates to “robbery of the century.” It’s a book that tells the story of a real-life bank robbery of the Bank of the Republic in Columbia in 1994, where thieves successfully stoled $33 million.
