Set in 2033, before dying, humans can upload themselves into a virtual afterlife.  It can be at a beach in Florida or the Eiffel Tower in Paris. After being uploaded the ability to see, chat, touch, or even have sex can still happen using a virtual suit.

The series begins with Nathan (Robbie Amell) dying after his self-driving car mysteriously crashes. He’s then uploaded to Lakeview.  While Lakeview is one of the better virtual afterlives, it’s not exactly heaven.  Extra perks, like golf, snacks, and unlimited data require extra money.  Luckily Nathan’s girlfriend Ingrid (Allegra Edwards) is rich.  After meeting his handler Nora (Andy Allo), the two begin to fall for each other.

It’s not a cheesy love story; there’s a mystery as well!  Nathan suffers from memory loss and thinks his car crash was a planned murder, things get out of control once those memories start coming back, and he breaks up with Ingrid after finding out a secret she’s been keeping.
