Manifest Season 3 is not premiering in fall 2020
Manifest Season 3 won’t premiere on NBC until 2021
NBC has released its fall premiere dates, and Manifesters got some terrible news. Manifest Season 3 will no longer premiere in fall 2020.
It’s not because NBC doesn’t have any faith in the series. Instead, we can blame the coronavirus, which continues to cause problems for filming. To keep everyone involved in filming safe, extra safety protocols need to be put in place, and that’s not too easy for a show that films a lot on location.
Manifest Season 3 will film in New York like the previous two seasons. This was the epicenter of the pandemic back in March in the U.S., although things have slowly gotten a little better. However, there are still going to be some concerns.
It’s safer to push Manifest Season 3 to January 2021
To ensure the safety of everyone, NBC isn’t going to rush too many shows back to production. The bosses have talked to the various studios and production companies about timelines, and Manifest Season 3 premiering in 2021 has been deemed the safest option.

It’s not alone at being pushed back. Fellow New York-filmed series New Amsterdam has also been pushed to a 2021 start. Most other scripted NBC shows have also been pushed, including Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Law & Order: Organized Crime.
The three One Chicago shows, This Is Us, and Superstore are among some of the only scripted TV shows returning in November 2020 (October for Superstore), according to Deadline. New York-filmed shows The Blacklist and Law & Order: SVU will return, potentially setting benchmarks for Manifest when it returns to filming.

What to expect in Manifest Season 3
We know very little about the series so far. What we do know is that Saanvi is going to struggle with the actions she took at the end of the second season. Manifesters will remember watching her cause The Major to have an anaphylactic reaction and not get the epi-pen to her in time. This was after getting rid of the callings, which could mean she’s not going to survive the Death Date.
The way to survive the Death Date is to be willing to die. Follow the callings until the very end, which is something Zeke did to save Cal. In return, he saved his own life.
Showrunner Jeff Rake and Bobak Esfarjani have written the Manifest Season 3 premiere, with Romeo Tirone directing. Star Josh Dallas shared a photo of the premiere script, teasing the title. He gave us the letters TF and said the title has seven letters in total. Many fans have guessed “Tailfin.”
