7. Ozark
We forgot to mention that the shows on this list are not in any particular order! So if you only have time to watch a few, we strongly suggest that Ozark is one of them!
The series stars Jason Bateman as Marty Byrde and Laura Linney as Wendy, who relocate their family after a money-laundering scheme goes wrong. They are ready to turn over a new leaf, but unintentionally find themselves taking on an even bigger job than before and are now laundering even more for some very dangerous people.
Ozark is witty and smart, but also has a dark comedy feel to it at times. It’s the perfect series to binge-watch over a weekend as it is incredibly addicting.
6. Wentworth Prison
We are pairing up an addictive series with another, but the huge difference between Wentworth Prison and Ozark is that one is incredibly popular and the other is a hidden gem. You can probably guess which is which.
It may give you Orange is the New Black vibes, and I would agree, but Wentworth Prison has been in OITNB’s shadow and it needs to shine! If you want some good drama, this is the one to watch.
Wentworth is set in Australia and follows the life of Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack) as she enters prison for attempted murder. Will she survive before she is even sentenced?
The first seven seasons are streaming on Netflix, season 8 is expected to arrive once it airs on its original network. The series stars Danielle Cormack, Nicole da Silva, Kris McQuade, Leeanna Walsman, and more.
