Don’t miss out on Transplant Season 1, Episode 2 live tonight

Bashir is now Dr. Bashir Hamed at York Memorial Hospital on Transplant Season 1, Episode 2. Not everyone is going to take the hiring as well as others. Don’t miss out on the episode live.

It was never going to be easy for Bashir. He didn’t make the greatest first impression on the staff at the hospital. They do say doctors make the worst patients, and Bashir proved that in the series premiere when he refused to sit still in the ER. Granted, that was partially because he knew what had happened to everyone and partially because he really needed to find his sister, who had feared the worst about her brother.

More from NBC

After showing his skills in an emergency, John Hannah’s Dr. Jed Bishop hired him, but he doesn’t seem to have told everyone right away. Dr. “Mags” LeBlanc is confused why her former patient is now volunteering at the hospital. Maybe it would have been better to introduce him first, but he does walk straight into an emergency that he can help with. That includes diagnosing the problem without imaging.

Just check out the clip below:

This is an episode where we’ll get to see the differences in medical training. While the Western world trains mostly in sterile conditions (unless you’re training with the military), Syrian doctors have to learn through rudimentary methods. That could make him a better doctor.

It could make him worse. He is a little behind in his training for Western medicine.

Many of the doctors are not going to make it easy on Bashir to fit in. In fact, HR has a question for him about his original medical transcripts that could cost him his new job. How far is he willing to go to keep doing the thing he loves?
