Who’s in it: Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Austin North, Charles Esten, Drew Starkey
What it’s about: Taking place in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Outer Banks follows a group of teenagers known as the Pogues as they search for answers about the missing father of John B (Chase Stokes), the ringleader of the group. As the Pogues have the law and a rival group called the Kooks breathing down their backs, the group must also overcome a number of struggles on the path to learning more about the treasure that’s connected to John B’s father. In order to achieve the 20-year goal of John B’s father, they’ll have to stick together amid great heights.

Why you should watch: Outer Banks probably seems like a strange companion binge to Sweet Magnolias since the shows don’t share much overlap. However, there’s a certain demographic that meets in the middle. For some viewers, the teen mystery will have the feel-good element that makes a marathon fly by faster than you’d prefer. But Outer Banks will also satisfy those viewers still waiting to find out who was in the car at the end of Sweet Magnolias Season 1. Keep the mystery alive with one of the year’s most addictive fellow new Netflix original series.
