Let’s talk about what happened in the Season 11 premiere “Dream A Little Bob of Bob.”

Season 11’s “Dream A Little Bob of Bob” starts off with Bob being a little stressed about being an adult and responsible. He starts freaking out after he can’t find Tina’s birth certificate because he lost the key to the safe. Eventually, he goes to the car to look for the key and falls asleep where his dream starts off with him being in his car’s glove compartment.

In his dream, Bob starts interacting with all of the previous items he has saved in his car including a rubber band ball and his car engine. He eventually meets up with his old self-help tape who teams up with him and the rubber band ball to find the key. Bob encounters another challenge when the ants in his car start to come after the trio and they work together to defeat the ants.

Bob starts freaking out again in his dream and gets attacked by a shame monster of his own making. He eventually comes up with a plan and is able to get the key in his dream. The episode ends with Bob realizing he needs to be nicer to himself even though he still doesn’t find the key.

As far as season premieres go, this is a pretty off-the-wall premise but it makes for such a solid Bob episode. The show rarely uses Bob in its plot-lines so it’s nice to see Bob being featured at the start of Season 11. Bob is already a likable character but “Dream A Little Bob of Bob” only amplifies that. Even though Bob doesn’t find the key, in the end, he’s still happy and we’re all still rooting for him.
