American History X

Now it’s time for the movie that’s leaving HBO and HBO Max in October. American History X is one of the most tragic but important Edward Norton movies of all time. However, there are some extremely graphic moments that will make it hard viewing for some.

The movie focuses on facism and racism. It’s a terrifying look at how flawed and full of hatred humanity is. We get a look at how racism is nurtured not through nature.

American History X is leaving HBO Max on Oct. 31.

Monsters vs. Aliens

Sometimes you need something for the entire family. HBO Max offers something each month. There isn’t anything on the recent side that stands out on the list, but there is something to check out if you haven’t already.

Monsters vs. Aliens is available on the streaming service at the start of the month. It’s a great tale about differences and acceptance. When a bride is turned into a giant version of herself, her fiance decides he can’t marry her. That’s the least of her problems though with aliens and the government causing issues for planet Earth.

Monsters vs. Alien is available on Oct. 1.
