They say you can never trust creepy kids, is this true on Netflix‘s latest horror series, The Haunting of Bly Manor?
When it comes to horror movies and shows, creepy kids are always the worst! When a young kid is involved, the story is instantly more frightening. That said, we are not sure what to think about Miles and Flora when we first meet them.
Miles and Flora are incredibly excited to meet their new au pair, Dani Clayton. A bit too excited, perhaps. One would never imagine the traumatizing events they have had to endure. Not only that, but they are well-mannered and spoken.
They’re also adorable, though, so we quickly trust them. That is, until Miles begins to give us strange vibes and Flora suddenly has the urge to lock Dani in the closet. What are they hiding?
Why did Miles and Flora lock Dani in the closet on The Haunting of Bly Manor?
Everything appears to be going well, until Miles and Flora suddenly ask Dani to search for something in Flora’s closet.

Right away, you know something is off, but how was Dani supposed to suspect anything? Dani journeys into the closet and Flora and Miles quickly shut and lock the door behind her. Dani freaks out and has a panic attack.
We learn Dani has her own fears as she begins to grow claustrophobic and once again sees a strange man in the mirror. After what seems like hours, Dani and Miles let Dani out. What was the point of it?
If you were watching closely and paying attention, you know that Miles and Flora were only trying to keep Dani safe from the lady in the lake. We’re not sure why, as that isn’t reveal until a few more episodes, but we know that the lady in the lake makes random walks through the house. Miles and Flora simply didn’t want her to see and take Dani.
