The Office alum BJ Novak leaves cute comment on Mindy Kaling’s Instagram pic

Heart eyes alert, fellow fans of The Office! BJ Novak recently left a super sweet comment on Mindy Kaling’s instagram post and needless to say, it is taking me back.

According to Pink Villa, The Mindy Project actress took part in the “How it started” meme challenge a few days ago with a split screenshot of where she was once and where she’s at today. Many of Mindy’s friends, fans, peers, and co-stars took notice. And mostly everyone continues to notice BJ Novak’s remark.

Kaling’s “How it started” post shared a moment from her early days on set. For her “How it’s going,” she dropped a drop-dead-gorgeous shot of herself on the 2020 Oscars red carpet. The actress added in the caption, “So yeah, it’s going pretty well. How about you?”

Many took to the comments section. Some answered Kaling’s question, many commended the actress on her many successes (and that amazing yellow dress), and of course, pretty much everyone got nostalgic about her iconic days at Dunder Mifflin where she played the one and only Kelly Kapoor.

The best comment award must go to Kaling’s former co-star, BJ Novak. As most of us know all too well, Novak played her on-again, off-again boyfriend of Kelly Kapoor on the beloved series. The executive producer and writer on the NBC series is often best known for his role as Ryan Howard.

So when Novak replied, “I like both,” fans took notice, to say the least. And now, the likes for his little remark continue coming in, already reaching somewhere beyond 26,000 little hearts.

And here’s a some VIP Office trivia: the onscreen boyfriend and girlfriend actually got romantic for a few years in real life during their time on The Office. However, the two called it quits. Since then, Kaling and Novak have remained close friends, continuing to show their ongoing support for each other professionally and personally, in ways both big and small.

And I still feel all warm and fuzzy from this one.
