6. One Tree Hill

One Tree Hill’s theme song will probably go down as one of the greatest songs of the 2000s, as it constantly appears throughout the nine seasons of the series (2003-2012).

The theme song was in the first four seasons of the TV series. Gavin DeGraw is the singer of the theme song, and it appeared on his 2003 debut album, Chariot. The “I Don’t Want to Be” song was released as a single in September 2004.

DeGraw is in season 1 of the show, where he performs at the Open Mic at Karen’s Cafe. Even though the theme song is not part of the series in season 5, DeGraw guest stars in an episode of season 5, and he sings the song with Jamie Scott (played by Jackson Brundage). In season 8 of the series, the song was played again, but various singers performed it.

DeGraw appeared in the series finale of One Tree Hill, and he performed “I Don’t Want to Be” in the last scene of the episode. The whole cast watches him sing, and they all sing along.

“I Don’t Want to Be” was a great song to accompany a beloved teen TV series in One Tree Hill. It’s hard to believe that One Tree Hill premiered 17 years ago, but the theme song is still as popular today as when it first came out in 2003. The theme song topped the Billboard’s Pop Songs chart in 2005.

5. Two and a Half Men

The “Manly Men” song was the theme song for the popular CBS television show Two and a Half Men  (2003-2015). This theme song is one of the catchiest TV songs of all time.

Many may not know this, but Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer, and Angus T. Jones were not the beautiful voices behind the “Manly Men” theme song. The actual singers and studio musicians did an amazing job of making the shows opening 30-second song sound like the actors.

In addition, many would not know that one of the actual singer and voice-over artists is Elizabeth Daily (well known for the voice of Tommy Pickles on the American animated children’s television series Rugrats and Buttercup on The Powerpuff Girls.
