The 5 biggest mishaps at Bob’s Burgers including Season 11
The final two mishaps take place in Season 8 and Season 11 respectively
Before getting into Season 11, there’s one more mishap to talk about and that’s Season 8’s “Brunchsquatch.” Serving as Season 8’s premiere, the episode follows Bob’s Burgers serving brunch for the first time to disastrous results. Things are going great until they realize they should have put a limit on the bottomless mimosas so people are just buying a mimosa and never leaving. Eventually, they’re able to kick the brunch skunks out but not before the police have to intervene to sort things out.
As far as mishaps go, this one isn’t surprising at all. The Belchers seem to have terrible luck when trying new things and brunch is no expectation. Eventually, they do gain one new customer but it wasn’t worth the headache. This is one mishap that could be bettered in the future but for now, there shouldn’t be brunch at Bob’s Burgers.
Before getting into Season 11’s mishap, there will be spoilers from this week’s Bob’s Burgers, “Bob Belcher and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Kids.”
With the spoiler warning out of the way, let’s get into what happened in the episode. The episode follows the family preparing for Ocean Fest with Bob wanting the kids to work hard and Linda preparing to unveil a sculpture for the contest. Bob is even able to best Hugo, making him even more excited for Ocean Fest to get there.
Things quickly go downhill as there’s a fire in the restaurant during the night, causing the grill to go down and Linda’s sculpture to be ruined. Gene admits that he started the fire after using Linda’s old crimping iron to help with her sculpture. Louise also admits that she might have started the fire due to her adding sparklers to the sculpture. Tina also admits she also turned the fan on so it might have caused the fire, too.
The kids decide to try to go get the part needed to fix the grill but someone gets there before they do. They try to break the window and steal it but the three of them can’t bring themselves to do it. The episode ends with Pam, the other restaurant owner giving them the piece to fix the grill, and Bob found out Hugo was the one who caused the fire.
Of all the mishaps on this list, this one was easily the worst. Even though it didn’t completely derail the day, the fire was a major buzzkill. Bob’s Burgers is used to disaster but this time, it was far beyond their reach. This episode almost feels reminiscent of the start of the series with “Human Flesh” as Bob refers to the kids as terrible but they redeem themselves in the end. Plus it made Hugo the villain so, despite the mishap, it was just a normal day at Bob’s Burgers.
