Is Saturday Night Live on tonight with a new episode to welcome the New Year?
What we need most to kick off the New Year on the right note are laughs! And where can we go to for laughs? NBC‘s Saturday Night Live! But is there a new episode of the sketch comedy series tonight or is it skipping yet another week?
Christmas was lonely for many reasons, but even more so due to no new episode of Saturday Night Live on Christmas weekend. Another holiday weekend has now arrived, New Year’s weekend, but I’m afraid there are more sad news ahead.
Unfortunately, SNL is not new tonight, Jan. 2, 2021. This is very disappointing. With the state of the world, the sketch comedy series would have really cheered us up or at least made us forget our troubles for a few moments.
SNL did leave us with some great sketches. The last episode that premiered was hosted by Kristen Wiig, and it was a lot of fun! Timothee Chalamet was surprisingly charming in the comedy, and Jason Bateman is always a pleasure to watch. But what’s next?
When will Saturday Night live return with new episodes in 2021?
Sadly, we are not sure when SNL returns with new episodes in the year 2021. We do know that Saturday Night Live takes a break during the holidays. How long? It depends. Sometimes two weeks, sometimes more.
After today, it would be two weeks, so we should learn something soon. Either way, we’ll be sure to keep you posted on any news on the return of the live sketch comedy series. We are crossing our fingers for the show’s return next weekend on Jan. 9, 2021.
