The Bachelor: Why Matt James wasn’t wrong praying
Matt James did the right thing saying a prayer during The Bachelor Season 25 premiere
The Bachelor Season 25 has immediately brought up a debate. Matt James chose to say a prayer before the rose ceremony, and not all viewers are happy about it.
Saying the prayer was right for him and his season of the show.
The big reason some viewers weren’t happy about Matt saying the prayer is because not all the women in the group may follow the same religion. It would push some out, making them feel uncomfortable. However, nobody seemed uncomfortable or left the room at the time. They remained respectful for his preference to say a prayer.
If they’re not comfortable, they’re not right for Matt
This would have been an excellent chance to see if the women on The Bachelor Season 25 were right for Matt or not. If they couldn’t respect his need to pray, it would be hard for them to be with him for life.
This doesn’t mean they would need to have the same religion. There are relationships out there that work with differing religions. Some compromises are made, but the request for time to pray is usually an easy request for all to follow. It wouldn’t matter which one in the relationship made the request.
Many couples who follow different religions could even pray together. They don’t need to pray to the same god. And those who don’t pray or believe in a deity would just be able to stand in a respectful silence.
Matt needs someone who is respectful of his religion, whether they follow the same religion or not. Respect goes a long way in a relationship and in making sacrifices. If a woman didn’t feel comfortable and did need to leave during a prayer her potential future husband wished to say, she isn’t right for that man (and vice versa).
