Is Farrah Abraham seriously saying goodbye to Twitter? Maybe, but probably not.

Once again, Farrah is facing major backlash on social media. According to The Sun, the Teen Mom alum is being called out after criticizing Twitter for suspending President Trump from the platform and is vowing to delete her own account in response. Spoiler alert: She hasn’t deleted it yet.

On January 8, Farrah Abraham shocked fans when she tweeted her “goodbye” to the social media platform with the hashtag “bye Twitter.” In a now pinned tweet, the 29-year-old wrote, “If a social platform abuses its power, silences voices, and does this to a world leader – I’m not supporting or wasting further time on the corrupt privately held platform. Wrong is wrong , no spit , hate, or lies make this action ok,” followed by the hashtags “the end” and “Twitter.”

Many responding to Farrah’s “bye Twitter” campaign were skeptical and said there was no way she’d actually delete her account. Some people asked how she’d make money without social media, which is a fair question. And as predicted by many commenters, her account is still up and running for the time being.

On January 9, Farrah took to Twitter once again and seemingly responded to some of the backlash. Continuing to stand by her decision and explaining why she would not be deleting all social media, the controversial reality star alleged that both Twitter and Facebook are “proven” of organizing crime, violence, and death.

These strong feelings and serious accusations, of course, made the fact that she was still on Twitter very confusing. And it also made her motives seem askew, to say the least.

As noted by The Sun, the general consensus seems to be that Farrah Abraham is “putting on a show” and has no real intentions of saying goodbye to Twitter. If Farrah’s aim was to garner mass attention on social media, she’s getting what she wants right now. However, it’s definitely for all the wrong reasons.
