Miriam Margolyes isn’t holding back in saying how she feels. The Australian-British actress recently made a virtual appearance on Good Morning Britain, where she laid into the Prime Minister of the UK, Donald Trump, and those who are against vaccinations.

According to Huffington Post UK, the 79-year-old actress spoke to Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid from her home in Tuscany today, when the topic of COVID-19 vaccinations came up. The UK began administering vaccines back in December 2020, so of course it has been a major point of conversation for most.

When asked about her thoughts on getting the COVID-19 vaccine, Miriam Margolyes was sure to confirm she would be getting it when she returns back to the UK. Explaining her decision, she also bashed anti-vaxxers, stating:

"Of course one must have the vaccine, those anti-vaxxers are nuts. They need their heads seen to. It’s ridiculous. No, I’m hoping I get a vaccine as soon as possible. I’m 79, so I’m not quite 80 yet, I’ll be 80 in May. And I may be able to have it in Italy before I come."

Margolyes went on to talk about her return to the UK in general, explaining that she would only go back when it’s “safe.” She then brought up Boris Johnson, saying:

"I mean, you’ve got that clown in charge there, that I didn’t vote for, and I’m holding him responsible for a lot of this mess."

On the topic of politics, Margolyes also gave her candid opinion of Donald Trump, who has just been impeached for the second time and will be out of office come January 20. The Call the Midwife alum humorously shared:

"I know it’s morning television, and I have to be careful about what I say about that man. Let’s say that it ends with ‘hole’ and starts with ‘a’. But he is a dangerous man. He is dangerous, I think he’s a fascist, and I think it was obvious from the beginning that he was going to be like that… I just long to see the back of him."

Huffington Post UK has provided a video clip from the GMB Twitter account, which you can watch below.

Miriam Margolyes has never been one to keep her comments to herself, which is part of the reason her fans find her so likable! Though COVID-19 has obviously delayed and canceled many productions across the world, the actress does have one project coming up in 2021. A film called Next to You is set to premiere this year, helmed by Serbian director Stevan Filipovic.

Whether you agree or disagree with Margolyes, you have to admit she is honest!
